Speediance Gym Monster 2 – AI-Powered Smart Home Gym Machine | All-in-One Smith Machine, Cable System & Full-Body Workout Station with Bench & Virtual Trainer

I was originally skeptical of this machine. I was originally going to buy a competitor's machine but was disgusted by the 60 dollar mandatory subscription and went with the gym monster instead. After only having this machine for a little while I can confirm it is well built and well engineered and can happily say I made the right decision. This machine along with my cardio bike basically remove the need for me to ever need to go to the gym again. Love it. Wish I bought it sooner. Looking forward to putting on some serious muscle 💪

This was my first ever home gym purchase and did weeks of thorough research and decided on the Gym Monster 2. It arrived promptly and well packaged. Setting it up was a breeze and the quality of the unit exceeded expectations. I look forward to my workouts and living a more fit lifestyle.

Update 5/30/25 - back to 5 Stars. Speediance shipped a new monitor, which was super easy to install with just 3 screws in the back. No everything is back to normal operation and no issues/error so far. Have been using the new monitor for about two weeks.

This was originally 5 stars. I'm currently down-grading this because of a technical issue relating to the internal storage (see pics). It tells you that the internal storage is full (which seems crazy in 2025 and I have only around 12 exercises book-marked). Then when you click clear files, it tells you they're gone, but they are not really gone and you can't get back to the main screen from the storage screen. You have to turn the machine off and on again. Soon after the same issue pops up with the same files. I wonder if there's a way to increase the internal storage via the usb port in the back?

Also please NOTE: do NOT put this machine on 2.4Ghz wifi, it NEEDS 5Ghz. Otherwise, the load times are crazy slow (a complaint I've read in other comments/reviews). Putting it on 5Ghz wifi makes it super fast.

Necessary fixes in my opinion:

1) Turn off music by default and include Spotify and other services (or at least make it an option to turn it off by default)
2) Increase internal storage space or make it possible to expand
3) Fix grammatical/syntactic/lexical errors in the frontend software (not highest priority obviously)

Overall, this thing is great, especially since you don't need a subscription, which is what I wanted to avoid at all cost. It feels like a full home gym and is built solidly.
