Why did you pick this product vs others?:
This is just one of the brackets holding up my Cables, Bars. Pulleys, Etc. and does a nice job. I am impressed with the rubber lining on the top of these brackets that prevent any scratches of my equipment. Love the thickness as they are strong, heavy duty and a very good quality product.
I recently tried the Fitarc Barbell Holder Wall Mount to get my Olympic and curl bars off the floor in my basement gym. I’ve used it for the past couple of days to hold two bars—one is a 20kg Olympic bar and the other is a heavier trap bar.
It held both bars with no bending or flex, even with the trap bar in the top slot. The rubber padding kept the bars in place and helped avoid metal-on-metal noise and scratches.
The bottom mounting screw was hard to reach because of the bracket design. I had to use a right-angle drill to get it in—would be easier if the screw holes had more clearance.
Bottom line: It held two heavy bars with no flex and helped clean up my gym wall 🏋️.
This "Fitarc" branded Barbell Holder caught my eye when I came across the listing. I was hoping this could be a good candidate for helping to clean up the clutter and dress up my fitness space.
This product comes is basic packaging with little excess. Mine arrived in good condition. In addition to the Wall holder itself, a set of screws and drywall anchors are provided. I would recommend you only install this by securing better quality lag style screws (that you supply) straight into wood studs in your wall. I do not feel that simple drywall plugs are sufficient to hold heavy weight over time.
I was struck at the quality construction of this product. It has a good weight to it and it certainly feels robust and more than durable enough for its intended purpose. It is nicely finished too and looks great cosmetically. I was not expecting the textured rubber layer on the top side. It certainly helps to cushion your gear and provide for some positive gripping surface.
I am pleased to report that this can in fact hold 2 pieces of standard gear. I was initially concerned as the rendering in the listing images looked like spacing was very tight. However, the product does in fact have extra spacing between the slots.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Fitarc Wall Mounted Barbell Holder. It is very well made and is certainly robust and durable. In my opinion, it looks great too! At the original price of $29.99, I feel this is reasonable and in keeping with the level of the quality of this product. This is certainly worth considering if you are searching for pieces of quality hardware for your fitness room.
Includes two large wall lags and plugs! I don’t think plugs in drywall would be any good - definitely much better to locate a stud or install into concrete block! Bench bars are heavy! Does look like it’ll handle the abuse of slamming bars down onto the lip area! Made well with thick gauge coated steel. Really helps to organize things and keep the bars up off the floor and bench!
