This product is the perfect at home fitness machine! There are other more expensive types of this workout machine. However, after reading lots of reviews I took the plunge on this one. I am not disappointed! Comes with app so you can use on your iphone or ipad (not ideal - but this version was within my budget and didn’t come with the tv screen attachment. It took a minute for me to figure it out but once we did it was a breeze to follow along with. My husband and I both set up different accounts on our phones but it connects to the same machine. I am in my forties now and weight lifting is necessary for my bone health! Not a single regret with this purchase…oh! and did I mention no subscription fee for the app! That is a huge plus as well!

It seems that this space is filled with products that have a upfront payment and then lock you into a perpetual subscription to take more money out of your pocket. This one stood out in terms of the fact that it generally had positive reviews and no subscription. It is however a connected machine that cannot be used standalone.

With gym equipment you look for a few things:

a. Lifespan
Spending the kind of money on this means that it should be sturdy and last a long time. The plastic and the rubber mat with a cloth feel like they won't last long in my view. What's worse is the fact it's completely connected and if the company goes away you end up with a $1500 brick. This was proven by the lack of customer service. The device has firmware in the finger controller and the floor unit that provides the resistance. The firmware upgrade on the floor unit proved impossible and in the end was the reason why it was returned. It felt like I was in a loop with their CS for almost two weeks trying to get the best experience out of their product and they were not really aware of how to fix the issue.

b. Quality workout
This is based on your views to some extent. These machines provide a small footprint and Speediance has done a good job here of providing options and components that can give you a solid workout.

c. and less so Data and Metrics
These connected machines help you to make progressions via data and analytics and this is no different. There is a lot in the app and a lot more can be added.

Improvements
Speediance can make the following improvements:

a. Break up their delivery into two boxes and organize the box better (for example the screws needed for the bench were just thrown into a random box)
b. Use slightly better materials like a nicer rubber mat where the feet are placed
c. Provide a USB slot for upgrades as a backup and maybe a offline mode so that the app doesn't have to connected to use the platform. Should the company go away (or they have a network outage) at least your gym equipment will keep working.
d. Improve customer service to provide better tools on the app for diagnosing issues directly

Maybe version 2 will be better.
