I acquired this vest with my partner in mind, since I already had one and she wanted to gradually increase the intensity of her workouts. It’s a very effective way to add challenge and build strength over time. The vest straps on easily, and small weights can be added into the pockets. Starting at 4 lbs may not sound like much, but once you add that to your workout, you definitely feel it. You can increase the weight at your own pace, up to 10 lbs, with the six 1-lb weights included. The reflective strip is a nice touch if you plan to use it for running or outdoor fitness.
I love this vest. I love that the weight can be adjusted. It’s very comfortable and I love the pockets for your keys or phone. Highly recommend.
Overall this is a good buy, my only issue is the side straps. They are hard to adjust and rub on my arm. If I had to go back, i would choose a front buckle one
I am really happy with this weighted vest. I have the 10lb version and it feels quite heavy when you put it on, but it's amazing how quickly your body adapts to the additional weight. I wish I had gone with the next model up. The vest itself is 4lbs and there are 6 1lb weights you can add as needed. The vest itself is well made and actually quite nice looking. It has reflective strips on the front which is a nice feature. The straps on each side are easily adjustable and make it comfortable regardless of chest size. If I'm being picky, I would rather it buckle together in the front (like a regular vest) rather than have to lift it over my head.
Weighted Vest (4-10 lbs) - vest alone is 4 lbs, then comes with 6 x 1 lbs sand weight bags so you can adjust to get to a total of 10 lbs. Great for walks and adding extra resistance. Also used by my 2 teens who play soccer and basketball to train for strength and endurance, for explosive power runs. Adjustable Velcro straps on each side to custom fit.
